Sprint Triathlon: 375 Yard Pool Swim (15 lengths of a 25 yard pool),14.5 mile bike, 5k run
Duathlon: 2 mi run, 14.5 mile bike, 5k run

Swim Information: Wetsuits will Not be permitted for this race. Very warm in the pool building.

Swim Start: The swim will start with two swimmer per lane (splitting the lanes) Swimmers will enter the pool at one end, swim 15 LENGTHS and leave the pool at the other end. When the lane counter sees a swimmer leaving the pool they will raise their flag indicating the lane is open and the next swimmer will go to that lane.

Estimated Swim Start Information: This year's race is going to be an age group swim start. No estimated swim times necessary.

Awards: We haven't finalized our race awards yet, but we're working on getting some great new stuff! We will also have some special drawings for prizes during the awards presentations! Award Categories: Top 3 Male and Female Overall will receive awards, Top 3 Male and Female in the following age-groups will receive awards: 16 & Under,17-19, 20-24 thru 70+ in 5 year increments Clydesdale, Athena The relay award distribution will be determined by the number of entrants in the relay division.

295 SOUTH: Exit 21 proceeding to the traffic light at the bottom of the ramp. Make a right onto Rt. 44 (Crown Point Road). Next light at WaWa make a left onto Delaware Street. Cross Grove Road onto RiverWinds Drive and continue 1.3 miles to Center.

295 NORTH: Exit 21 proceeding to the bottom of the ramp, bear left at the stop sign. Make a left onto Delaware Street proceeding to the traffic light across from the WaWa. Proceed straight through the light, then cross Grove Road onto RiverWinds Drive and continue 1.3 miles to Center.

From Deptford Mall: From Clements Bridge Road make a right onto Cooper Street (Auto Garage on left). Once on Cooper Street, you will remain straight through three lights, at the fourth light you will cross over Broad Street (Woodbury). Cooper Street then becomes Delaware Avenue. From here, you will go through your first light (WaWa) and remain straight through the second light which then becomes RiverWinds Drive. You will continue 1.3 miles to the Community Center.

Packet pick on Saturday April 24, 2010:
3:00pm-7:00pm Packet pickup at the Deptford Riverwinds Community Center lobby, for directions click here. Photo Id is required in order to pickup your packet, & USAT Members must present membership card.
Keswyck Cyclery will be available for bike safety checks and race day supplies.
Race day packet pickup is by special arrangement with the race director ONLY!

Race Day: Sunday, April 25, 2009:
5:30 am Transition Area Opens, USAT marshal will inspect all handlebars. All handlebar ends must be solidly plugged!
5:30 am Packet Pick-up (By special arrangement only) and body markings – we will not be using swim caps
7:00 am Mandatory pre-race meeting – Transition Area
7:10 am National Anthem
7:20 am Swim starts
10:00 am Official/ Penalty List Posted
10:30 am Unofficial Results Posted
10:30 am Awards Ceremony - Awards will not be mailed

Each athlete MUST show valid I.D. (driver’s license) and USAT card (or purchase 1 day membership). No Exceptions.

Due to insurance liability concerns all pre-registered entrants are expected to attend packet pick up in person. Packet pickup on Sunday by special arrangement only.

Refund Policy: No Transfers permitted. No refunds this year. Race Director has the right to change or alter any portion of this event due to weather or concerns for participants safety.

Rules: The "West Deptford Riverwinds Triathlon/Duathlon" is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Your age on race day will be your age as of 12/31/2010. All USAT rules will be in effect during the event. Spectator Information: There will be no spectators in the swim area. Athletes with special needs may make special arrangments with race director via e-mail at: jenp@wdnjtriathlon.org. More information to follow.

Course Safety: Because the "West Deptford RiverWinds Triathlon/Duathlon" is staged within an urban setting, it is impossible to close the entire course to vehicular traffic. All participants must be prepared to encounter vehicular traffic during the course of the event. Please be aware of your surrounding, obey the instructions of the traffic control officers and volunteers and be considerate of others while competing. Never just ride with your head down! Be aware! There will be several railroad crossings.

Training: Make a clinic a part of your 2010 multisport season! The Peddie School and the S3 Multisport Coaching Group in Hightstown, NJ, is proud to offer two weekend clinics this year: April 17-18 (adults only) and July 9-11 (kids and adults).
